Margaret Joyce is the Hawaiian Materials Cataloging/Metadata Librarian at Hamilton Library at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, a position she has served in since 2017, providing original cataloging services for the Library's comprehensive collection of Hawaiian and Hawaiʻi-related material. She received her MLIS with a certificate from Special Collections from the University of Illinois, and previously worked as a Project Cataloger at the Newberry Library in Chicago, Illinois. She is also a graduate student at UH in Museum Studies. Margaret's interests include special collections, knowledge organization, and ethics in classification. Outside of work she enjoys traveling,  photography, and has taken up embroidery during the pandemic.
