Sheryl is the branch manager of Wai'anae Public Library.  She received her MLISc from UH Manoa in 2000 and began her career as a Young Adult librarian at Liliha Public Library under the seasoned and watchful guidance of Sylvia Mitchell.  In 2008 she moved to Kapolei Public Library as the Adult Services librarian.  This fantastic job gave her the opportunity to manage staff for the first time. The move to the Wai'anae Public Library in May 2015 has been an exciting experience; getting to know the community is rewarding and challenging.  One of the most important work to date in her career has been the journey as she learns to be a leader to her awesome staff.

Sheryl graduated from University of Delaware and joined the Army as a Tactical Signal Officer. After her term of service, she continued the military lifestyle as a spouse while raising her family. She came to Hawaii in 1997 and embarked on a new career as a librarian by enrolling at UH Manoa in 1998. After twenty-five years traveling Sheryl settled in Hawaii to live and work and now after almost 25 years in Hawaii calls it her home.

She has been a member of HLA, ALA, and PLA since 1998.
