A Guide to Responsible Data Ethics for Librarians is a practical guide to understanding how to be more ethical with data from the perspective of a health sciences librarian. This presentation will teach you the basics of creating ethical and accessible data visualizations and data stories for a mixed audience of health sciences librarians and medical professionals. By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to identify and fix poor data visualizations and data stories; name and apply basic and ethical visual standards to their data visualizations; and assist their patrons with general data ethics.
