Started Bess Press in 1979 with a continued focus on place based curriculum content for schools in Hawaii, Micronesia and American Samoa.

We also publish general interest books on and about the Hawaii/Pacific region and house “Da Shop” Honolulu’s only full service bookstore and event space in Kaimuki.

As a regional Pacific based publishing company, we focus on K to 12 and college classroom based content primarily for schools in Hawaii and Micronesia based on their unique benchmarks  and standards.

BessPressEducation.com now has a robust digital platform reflecting our textbooks and other titles with added visual content from several secondary sources and now being used in select schools in Hawaii Guam and the Marshall Islands.
